Leadership Forums

Paragon facilitates a pair of leadership peer groups, the IT Leadership Forum and the Emerging Leader program, which are comprised of technology professionals in central Iowa. These members-only groups meet monthly and offer an opportunity to hear from subject matter experts on leadership, management, communication and various technology topics.

The meetings are formatted to provide its members a forum to discuss leadership and technology ideas or issues. Membership is for one year and each program begins in January.

2016 IT Leadership Forum Technology Scholarship Recipients

The winners of the 2016 IT Leadership Forum Technology Scholarship (pictured below) are the future IT workforce. Twenty scholarships have been awarded this year to Iowa high school seniors who have been active in technology and plan to earn an IT-related degree. Each recipient receives $1,000 to apply towards their college education.

Of the 20 recipients, seven are involved in HyperStream, a Technology Association of Iowa program that matches mentors with high schools throughout Iowa. Nine of the scholarship winners will attend Iowa State University (24 of the 45 students who have received a Forum Technology Scholarship chose ISU). All will attend an Iowa college or university, as required by the scholarship rules.

Four winners will be computer science majors (with two double majoring in music). Eleven have an engineering-related major. Two recipients are Eagle Scouts. Twelve are in the National Honor Society. One competes in pageants. Three are in 4-H. Congrats to all!
