Devopsdays is a worldwide series of technical conferences covering topics of software development, IT infrastructure operations, and the intersection between them. This year, Devopsdays Des Moines was held at the Iowa Events Center with two full session days that dove into topics around web performance, LEAN process improvement, automation and testing, hybrid cloud operating models, and more.
A few of our Paragon team members – Greg Lagan, Cody King, and Boris Mrkajic – were on location for the conference. One of the biggest take-aways from this year’s presentations and information is the importance of both sides of the house – business and IT – being completely bought in and on the same page to the tech evolution happening within their organization.
“DevOps” is term that has a different meaning at every organization here in town; however, the goal is the same: Continuous Integration of systems and data and a Continuous Deployment of new development and data. DevOps talent are innovative resources that are well-versed in all aspects of business and the technical development lifecycle. Finding these highly skilled individuals with great soft-skills and specific application experience can be very difficult in this market. Retaining Paragon for recruitment, which proactively seeks talent in this area, can quickly ramp up our client’s fulfillment process and remove bottlenecks to innovation timelines while maintaining existing applications and legacy systems.
